‘Agent Carter’ Casts ‘Reaper’ Alum Ken Marino

Variety reports in an exclusive that Ken Marino of “Reaper” and “Wet Hot American Summer” fame will be joining “Agent Carter” in season two as mob boss Joseph Manfredi.  Says Variety, Manfredi “is a volatile leader in the Maggia crime syndicate who will help Peggy Carter’s (Hayley Atwell) adversaries further their agenda.”

On “Reaper”, Marino worked with the current executive producers of “Agent Carter” Tara Butters, Michele Fazekas, and Chris Dingess. They say about Marino that “[h]is range is incredible — he can go from comedy to romance to drama with ease. Writing for him is easy, because he can do pretty much anything. And he used to have a karaoke room in his house, which makes him even more awesome.” It sounds like “Agent Carter” is very lucky to have Ken Marino aboard!  And who can pass up a “Reaper” reunion? “Agent Carter” Season 1 guest star Ray Wise, Roxxon Oil CEO Hugh Jones, played The Devil on “Reaper.” Previously announced guest star for season two, Kurtwood Smith, starred in the Butters-Fazekas produced “Resurrection.” It makes us at The Marvel Report wonder who else from earlier shows the trio have worked on might be popping up in “Agent Carter.”  Who would you like to see appear on ‘Agent Carter”?
