With the news that Ghost Rider would be arriving on Agents of SHIELD, we’ve been waiting for details on casting. Who would be bringing the burn (so to speak.)? At the Agents of SHIELD panel, Marvel TV’s Jeph Leob announced that Ghost Rider would be played by Gabriel Luna, who would bring the character’s most recent incarnation, Robbie Reyes, to life.
This Ghost Rider is considerably different from Johnny Blaze as he drives a muscle car possessed by a ghost. Luna was ecstatic about joining the show and took to twitter to share his excitement with the fans.
Mr. Luna’s credits include True Detective, Wicked City, Matador, and Prison Break. Stay tuned to The Marvel Report for more from Agents of SHIELD.

According to deadline.com, Agents of SHIELD has also cast Lilli Birdsell in the recurring role of Lucy who has a “Very violent streak to her inner self due to things that have happened.” billed as a “beautiful woman with a haunting quality” Birdsell’s previous credits include NCIS: LA, How to get Away with Murder, and Major Crimes.
