This morning Marvel released a new poster for its upcoming Netflix show, Luke Cage, through the show’s official Twitter account. The poster shows off a stern Mike Colter as the unbreakable Power Man with bullet holes in his shirt.

With the new poster came an announcement that a new trailer will be released for the show tomorrow at some point in the day. Up to this point, the only footage that has been released came a couple of weeks ago at San Diego Comic-Con where Marvel dropped a minute and a half long teaser.
Luke Cage is scheduled to release on Netflix at the end of next month on September 30th and will be the third show from Marvel through that platform. The program follows hits Daredevil and Jessica Jones and will continue to build towards a Netflix team up show. Iron Fist will be the next new show to follow Luke Cage and everything builds towards the eventual release of The Defenders.
Marvel has found large success with their Netflix content and fans have enjoyed the darker shows geared towards adults. With the additional success of the Punisher as a side character in Daredevil’s second season, Marvel’s deal with Netflix seems to be working out well and open up the door for expansion and the chance to bring viewers more shows.
The poster for Luke Cage looks amazing and seems like another character will be done a justice with a proper adaptation through Netflix. It’s great to see them showing off that the character is bulletproof and how much fun that will be to watch. The initial teaser trailer from San Diego Comic-Con can be found below!
