Spider-Man’s Tom Holland Swings Into Atlanta Children’s Hospital

The cast of the MCU are committed to their characters. Both on and off camera everyone from Chris Evans and Chris Pratt to the Agents of SHIELD cast take the time out to make magic for those less fortunate.  They’re out to prove themselves as heroes on and off camera, something that the world needs now more then ever.  Now Tom Holland, aka Peter Parker aka Spiderman is getting into the mix.   Tom Holland swung into an Atlanta Children’s Hospital to make some magic, and some smiles.

According to CBR.com, Holland visited Atlanta’s Henrietta Egleston Hospital to visit with kids, show them how to work their own web shooters, and prove unequivocally that he embodies the Peter Parker role.  Seen on filmfeed’s twitter, we get a ton of shots of “Peter” greeting kids, including a baby (and how cute is that?)

Amid all the bluster from “die hard” fans of any comic book character about accuracy and “faithfulness”  it’s hard to forget that these are characters written for children.  The indescribable joy seen in these kids faces should serve as a pointed reminder that ultimately true heroes set aside bias, prejudice, and personal identity to make life better for others.

Especially for kids.

These are characters that kids look up to and with Peter Parker being the second most recognizable character after Mickey Mouse, it would appear that under Holland the character is in good hands.

The only question is, will Peter be bringing his lovely girlfriend Mary Jane the next time he visits? One can only hope!

Spider-Man: Homecoming also stars Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr, Michael Keaton, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Donald Glover, Marisa Tomei and more. It is being directed by Jon Watts and is set for release next summer on July 7th, 2017.
