Hayley Atwell Says: Give Agent Carter a Movie!
Tuesday proved to be an amazing day for the ABC canceled show Marvel’s Agent Carter. In the midday hour, fans of the series were treated to an interview with Hayley Atwell at Comic Book Resources that could leave them feeling pretty hopeful about the return of Peggy Carter in some format, be it television or, wait for it — film.
I hound [Marvel Studios co-president Louis] D’Esposito on a regular basis, saying, “Give me a movie!” I think the great thing about Peggy is, we know from “[Captain America: The] Winter Soldier” that she lives a long life, so she can come back.
Let us imagine for a moment what a film helmed by Peggy Carter might look like. It could be the story most fans would like to be told: the forming of SHIELD. A film would give this particular story the time and budget it deserves to be told in.
An interview with Hayley Atwell demonstrating her determination to get Peggy Carter’s story told deserves celebration by fans itself — but it was not the only Marvel’s Agent Carter related thing to occur yesterday. If you caught Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD last night, you would have heard Peggy Carter receiving some attention there too!

Fans of Marvel’s Agent Carter took to Twitter expressing their feelings about the mention. One fan commented to Clark Gregg about the line Coulson spoke and Mr. Gregg responded accordingly:

Because yes, Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD saw what you did to its sister show ABC and is not too pleased by it. New cast member (and director) Jason O’Mara chimed in:

Marvel has certainly not said goodbye to Peggy Carter and neither has Hayley Atwell:
I don’t feel like I’ve said goodbye to her. She does still seem to live on a lot for the fans. And Marvel is still such a big part of my career, especially my professional family….
