Marvel’s ‘Cloak And Dagger’ Announces Showrunner, Delayed Until 2018

Earlier this year, ABC network’s Freeform announced they had picked up the Marvel drama Cloak And Dagger to series. At the time of the announcement, no writer, director, or cast were attached to the project yet. Now we have two major updates, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter.

Underground co-creator Joe Pokaski has joined the project as showrunner. This is very good news as Pokaski has previously worked on Marvel’s Daredevil, Heroes, and CSI.

With Pokaski joining the project, he will have to rewrite the script. Meaning the project has been pushed to 2018 while these rewrites happen and staffing continues. A little good news and bad news, but I wouldn’t have it any other way – this is one comic adaptation that needs to be done right.
