Agents Of SHIELD Debuts New Photos For Mid-Season Premiere

As we tick down closer to January 10th, Agents of SHIELD is bringing us all sorts of new goodies to tease and excite the audience for the season premiere.  While we already have a synopsis for the season arc, the network recently released several new photos featuring a robot uprising that might be put Westworld to shame.

Fans of the series will recall that the series ended on a high note for multiple characters until they discovered that Agent May — who had been getting closer to Coulson — was not actually May but a Life Model Decoy version of her. Fans have been subtly panicking about this double-cross from AIDA and the cast has been feeding the fire. Check out Clark Gregg’s tweet about the issue (as expressed in emojis.)

Now that Robbie has vanished, it seems as though this season is shifting from the tagline of “Ghost Rider” to “LMD: Life Model Decoy.” May also is front and center in this new poster, which features the familiar Marvel Comics tagline “Strange Tales.”

With May’s future in question and the potential for the popular ship “Philinda” (May and Coulson) to take place with May’s decoy, it appears though Agents of SHIELD is also going to focus on beloved fan-favorite character May and put her and the team through a harrowing trial of mistaken identities and double plays.

Take a look at the photo gallery below and let us know in the comments what terrifying drama you think AIDA and her robot friends might be up to in the second half of this season, Agents of SHIELD: LMD.

Agents of SHIELD – Season 4 Episode 9 – January 10 – “Broken Promises”
