Even sneakier, is WB’s considerations for Suicide Squad 2 director. Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Gangster Squad), Daniel Espinosa (Safe House), Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies, 50/50) are among the directors on the radar, but the most surprising possibility is Mel Gibson. Yes, we know, this is very strange. Not to mention the negativity swirling around him and his past. The hosts give us their thoughts on each of the directors mentioned. A week after it was announced that Matt Reeves would be directing the film, now we’re hearing that negotiations have ended. However, Ridley Scott (The Martian, Alien) and Fede Alvarez (Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead remake) are now also being considered by Warner Bros. as possible considerations. So the million dollar question(s) is, which of these directors do we think is the best choice for being at the helm of a solo Batman movie?
