We’re finally getting somewhere with the hotly anticipated untitled Fox TV X-Men Pilot from Matt Nix and Bryan Singer and boy, the news is coming fast and furious. A couple weeks ago, the first casting for the series was made, with Blair Redford joining the series.

Now, according to our friends at Variety – Jamie Chung has been cast as fan favorite mutant Blink. Of course, she was portrayed in Days of Future Past by Fan Bingbing but this big casting for both the series and Chung herself. Chung, is no stranger to genre fare after playing Valerie Vale in Gotham, Mulan in Once Upon A Time and Go Go Tomago in Big Hero 6.

For strangers new to the character, she possesses the power to teleport.

According to Marvel’s press release:

The pilot from 20th Century Fox TV and Marvel Television will focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

Even more detail about the character:

[Blink] real name Clarice Fong — is described as sarcastic, lively and a bit of a tomboy. Her naturally strong exuberance has taken a hit after a sudden and traumatic upheaval of her life. As she adjusts to the new people and places that are suddenly “home,” she is slowly becoming herself again.

So far, this pilot is heating up with some spectacular casting.
