Animated Spider-Man Film Casts Miles Morales

Finally, the animated Spider-Man film has cast it’s Miles Morales. Shameik Moore (The Get Down, Dope) will be voicing Miles. Liev Schreiber (Ray Donovan) will be voicing the villain in the animated film. The animated film is from Sony.

Shameik Moore played the lead in the film Dope, and currently plays Shaolin Fantastic on Netflix’s The Get Down. This is another amazing opportunity for the young star. The animated Spider-Man film won’t highlight Peter Parker, but of course, Miles Morales. Miles Morales is a half black half Latino superhero that Brian Bendis created and was introduced in 2011. Since then, Miles has become one of the most popular Marvel comics characters.

Information regarding which villain Liev is voicing is being kept secret for now. Phil Lord wrote this project as well as the young Han Solo film and the Lego Movie. Phil will also serve as an executive on the animated film. Chris Miller, who is Phil’s co director for Han Solo and Lego Movie, will be directing the Spider-Man animated film as well.

Moore recently wrapped James Franco’s The Pretenders. Schreiber voices a character in the upcoming My Little Pony: The Movie.
