Captain Marvel Directors Announced

The directors for the upcoming Captain Marvel film has been announced. Variety has announced Anna Boden and  Ryan Fleck to helm Captain Marvel.  Many assumed that a woman would be behind the director’s chair for Marvel’s first solo female hero film, and well they weren’t wrong! Marvel, however, has not yet commented on the matter.

Boden and Fleck are known for directing “Mississippi Grind”, and  “Half Nelson” and also a couple of t.v. shows such as “The Affair” and “Billions”. The screen writers of Captain Marvel, Meg LeFauve and Nicole Perlman, were announced  a while ago. Nicole is known for co-writing Guardians Of The Galaxy. And Meg is known for her work with the film Inside Out.

Captain Marvel will follow Carol Danvers who was an air force pilot and colonel prior to getting her cosmic powers.  Captain Marvel has the ability to fly, super strength, and shoot photon blasts! Brie Larson has been cast in the title role! Kevin Feige is of course producing the film.
