First Look at Marvel’s Black Panther With New Images

As part of Entertainment Weekly‘s double issue for the upcoming San Diego Comic Con, they recently released 20 new images that give Black Panther fans a new look into the mysterious kingdom of Wakanda. The images can be viewed in the slideshow below and a new list of character descriptions can be viewed here.

Marvel plans to have a 90-minute panel next weekend at SDCC in Hall H on Saturday. It’s likely that fans will be treated to a more in-depth look at the film. The Marvel Report will have the event fully covered, so make sure to check back here for news from the event.

Marvel’s Black Panther is directed by Ryan Coogler. Coogler wrote the script along with Joe Robert Cole, who is also a screenwriter on Inhumans. The amazing costumes featured in the images were created by Oscar and Emmy nominated costume designer Ruth E. Carter.

The film features a star-studded cast including Chadwick Boseman (T’Challa/Black Panther), Michael B. Jordan(Erik Killmonger), Lupita Nyong’o (Nakia), Danai Gurira (Okoye), Martin Freeman (Everett Ross), Angela Bassett (Ramonda), Forest Whitaker (Zuri), Andy Serkis (Ulysses Klaue/Klaw), Florence Kasumba (Ayo), Letitia Wright (Shuri), Sterling K. Brown (N’Jobu), and many others.

Black Panther is currently scheduled for release on February 16, 2018.
