Samuel L. Jackson joins Captain Marvel. The rumors that he would be apart of the film started over the Fourth of July weekend. Deadline is reporting that those rumors are indeed true. Samuel L. Jackson plays Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Captain Marvel currently stars Brie Larson as the title character. The screenplay is written by Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve while the film is directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. The rest of the cast is currently unknown.
This won’t be the first time though that Brie and Sam have worked together. They both were in the film Kong: Skull Island earlier this year. And this will be Sam’s return to the MCU since his last appearance in Avengers: Age of Ultron. We however do not know how big of a role Nick Fury will play in Carol Danvers/ Captain Marvel’s life at least in her solo film debut. Captain Marvel will be the MCU’s first solo female fronted female.
