1. Peggy Carter
Steve Rogers has been though a lot in recent years. He lost another Carter woman he loved, he lost his powers, got them back with a price, became Hydra Cap, the list goes on. Now that things are starting to get better for him and Marvel Legacy is in full swing, I think it’s time for a switch up, a happy one for once. I know it might sound strange, but I think it could work in the right hands. Her popularity has gone up lately thanks to short-lived but largely loved TV show. Also, there are rumors that she will be brought back in the MCU.
I could see the comic version coming back one of two ways. Firstly, an Infinity Stone or something brings Steve’s Peggy to modern day. I think this would be cool to see Steve trying help someone else go though the shock he went though. Also, Peggy knew pre-Winter Soldier Bucky. It could be cool to see their reunion as well. The other way she could come back is have it be an alternate universe’s Peggy in our universe. It would technically be a resurrection without having to resurrect the character, similar to Spider-Gwen. Maybe she was the one frozen on her world. It would be another clash of Captain Americas or may she just took a serum similar to 616’s Natasha, and just carried on as Agent Carter. No matter how she comes back I think it would be cool to see and something no one saw coming.
Personally, I’d like to see one or more of these happen in the comics. Resurrections in comics can be a tricky thing. However, I believe characters like Nightcrawler, Winter Soldier, Scott and Cassie Lang prove that resurrection can lead to good stories in the when the right creators are involved.
