Black Panther Composer To Score Venom

If you loved the score in Marvel’s Black Panther and are excited about Sony’s Spider-Man spin-off Venom, starring Tom Hardy, then get ready for some great news. Deadline broke the news that Ludwig Goransson, who recently worked on the Ryan Coogler Marvel picture, has been tapped to score the upcoming Marvel-Sony pic featuring Hardy as Eddie Brock.

The 33-year old Swedish composer has a great body of work from working with Coogler on Black Panther, Creed as well as the FOX sitcom New Girl and NBC’s Community. In case you haven’t seen it, catch the teaser trailer for the Ruben Fleischer picture below.

Ruben Fleischer’s Venom, starring Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, Michelle Williams as Anne Weying, Riz Ahmed, Jenny Slate, and Reid Scott, is set to hit theaters on October 5, 2018. Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner wrote the screenplay for Venom, with Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach producing.

Bob Persichetti and Peter Ramsey’s Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, starring Shameik Moore as Miles Morales a.k.a. Spider-Man, Mahershala Ali as Aaron Davis a.k.a. Prowler, Brian Tyree Henry as Jefferson Davis and Liev Schreiber, hits theaters on December 14, 2018. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller wrote the screenplay, produced by Christina Steinberg, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach.

Gina Prince-Bythewood’s Silver & Black is set to release on February 8, 2019.
