Jessica Jones Season 3 Announces June Release Date

Everyone’s favorite super-powered detective is back.

After much anticipation, Netflix finally debuted the first teaser trailer for Jessica Jones Season 3 and announced the show’s release date. The teaser featured our titular hero, Jessica, being taunted by a man’s voice. Not Kilgrave this time, someone new.

“Jessica Jones you are a fraud. A cheater. No longer.”

No longer? Does this mean the off-screen voice is on Jessica’s side? Will Jessica experience some kind of public legitimacy this season? Only time will tell. The teaser also showcased Jessica’s brand new Alias Investigations door, shiny and new, after it had been destroyed time and time again in previous seasons.

Netflix also released the official synopsis for the season, which sets up a troubling rivalry between main characters Jessica and Trish:

When Jessica (Krysten Ritter) crosses paths with a highly intelligent psychopath, she and Trish (Rachael Taylor) must repair their fractured relationship and team up to take him down. But a devastating loss reveals their conflicting ideas of heroism and sets them on a collision course that will forever change them both.

Netflix also dropped four new images from the season. Each image shows a returning face: Jessica Jones, Trish Walker, Jeri Hogarth, and Malcolm Ducasse. One new face also appears: Benjamin Walker. No word yet who he will be playing, perhaps he will be the “psychopath” mentioned above.

Jessica Jones Season 3 hits Netflix on June 14th.
