Some big changes are taking place in the structure of Marvel. Kevin Feige is taking on even more responsibility as he is adding the role of Chief Creative Officer alongside his title as the head of Marvel Studios. Reported by Deadline Hollywood, this means everything from the MCU (including films and Disney+ shows) to Marvel TV as well as Marvel Family Entertainment will be under Feige’s governing.

Feige had already mapped out shows to be launched on Disney + with The Falcon and Winter Soldier, Loki, She-Hulk, Moon Knight, Hawkeye, What If? and WandaVision. But now the Marvel TV division will be reporting to him directly.

He will still be reporting to Walt Disney Co-Chairman and Chief Creative Officer Alan Horn and Co-Chairman Alan Bergman. Under the new structure Dan Buckley will stay as the President of Marvel Entertainment and Ike Perlmutter will stay Chairman. Ike has been a long time collaborator with Feige in television and publishing. While he will continue to oversee creative and editorial publishing he will now be reporting directly to Feige. It is theorized that all creative executives will be reporting directly to Feige.

Many feel that this movie is directly related to Feige’s involvement in the Spider-Man dispute with Sony. While many were worry about the future of the web slinger. Feige managed a deal that will keep Spider-Man in one more Marvel film and giving Disney a 25% co-financier in any future Spider-Man films..

A huge congratulations to Mr. Feige while some fans might have problems with certain parts of the MCU no one can argue he’s taken it into a brand new direction that is able to branch out into more movies, t.v. shows, and more that we will see in the future.
