Since our last podcast recording, a lot of things have happened in the world, but that won’t stop your hosts Angie Dahl and Lizzie Sáenz from talking about the latest teaser trailer for Stargirl! We’ve also gotten a release date of May 11 on DC Universe and May 12 on the CW, so we all can definitely survive until then, right? RIGHT??
Angie and Lizzie take some time to formally apologize to Sportsmaster, who actually looks kind of cool in the new footage. We try our best to break down what’s happening with his costume. There’s a new subtitle for the show, “A New Generation of Justice,” which we have some theories on what that means. Plus, there’s even more footage of Court fighting with her staff to discuss, and who is that person we see briefly in the background?
LOGLINE: STARGIRL follows high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore who inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. This new CW series reimagines Stargirl and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in a fun, exciting and unpredictable series premiering in 2020, produced by Warner Bros. Television, Mad Ghost Productions and Berlanti Productions.
