There’s a new Eternals trailer, and it wastes no time answering some big questions.
Right at the start, the trailer addresses the Blip and how it has caused an event called the “Emergence.” Sersi explains that the Eternals were instructed to not interfere in events like Thanos’ invasion.
But with the return of the Deviants, the Eternals must reunite once again to defend humanity. In the trailer we get a look at these dangerous enemies as well as the Celestials who guide the Eternals.

Eternals Is directed by Chloé Zhao and stars Gemma Chan as humankind-loving Sersi, Richard Madden as the all-powerful Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as cosmic-powered Kingo, Lia McHugh as the eternally young, old-soul Sprite, Brian Tyree Henry as the intelligent inventor Phastos, Lauren Ridloff as the super-fast Makkari, Barry Keoghan as aloof loner Druig, Don Lee as the powerful Gilgamesh, with Kit Harington as Dane Whitman, with Salma Hayek as the wise and spiritual leader Ajak, and Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena.
