Marvel Gives New Looks at Moon Knight and more For Disney Plus Day

On top of several new show announcements, Marvel gave fans a look at its upcoming shows during Disney Plus Day. Featured in the “Marvel Studios’ 2021 Disney+ Day Special,” available to watch exclusively on Disney Plus, we saw first looks at Moon Knight and She-Hulk as well as new footage from Ms. Marvel.

We break down the footage here:

In the Moon Knight clip, we see Marc Spector (Oscar Isaac) lament how he can’t tell the difference between his waking life and his dreams. An unseen voice says “it devours you.” We also get a glimpse of Spector as his Moon Knight persona beating someone up.

Official Description:

Moon Knight is a new globetrotting action-adventure series featuring a complex vigilante who suffers from a dissociative identity disorder. The multiple identities who live inside him find themselves thrust into a deadly war of the gods against the backdrop of modern and ancient Egypt. Moon Knight is directed by Mohamed Diab and is coming to Disney+ in 2022.

In the She-Hulk clip, we meet Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) who introduces herself as a normal lawyer… who happens to be the cousin of Bruce Banner. In the short clip, we see a peek of Jennifer in her Hulk form and Bruce running tests on her. The cut scene at the end where she says the iconic line “You wouldn’t like me when I’m angry,” gives off some serious retro vibes with the outfits and camera work.

Official Description:

She-Hulk follows Jennifer, a lawyer who specializes in superhuman-oriented legal cases. She-Hulk will welcome a host of Marvel characters to the series, including the Hulk, played by Mark Ruffalo, and the Abomination, played by Tim Roth. The new comedy series coming to Disney+ in 2022 is written by Executive Producer Jessica Gao and directed by Executive Producer Kat Coiro and Anu Valia.

Although we already got a sizzle reel for Ms. Marvel last year, there was more footage to look at in the special. We see a look at Kamala’s home life and she shares her uncertainty about being a “Brown girl from Jersey City,” becoming a hero. Dressed in what looks like a Captain Marvel halloween costume, Kamala is about to use her powers just as the clip cuts off.

Official Description:

Ms. Marvel introduces viewers to Kamala, a 16-year old Pakistani American from Jersey City.  An aspiring artist, an avid gamer, and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, she is a huge fan of the Avengers — and one in particular, Captain Marvel. But Kamala has always struggled to find her place in the world — that is until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Iman Vellani stars as Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel. Episodes are directed by Executive Producers Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, Meera Menon, and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
