Sony Releases Second Trailer For Jared Leto’s Morbius

Sony’s Spider-Man Universe is about to bring another iconic Spidey baddie to the big screen as Jared Leto will be portraying Morbius in his own solo film. Even though Leto’s film was supposed to drop in 2020, the Sony-Marvel picture had to be pushed back several times due to the global pandemic.

While many know of him as one of the web-crawler’s super-villains, Michael has also, similar to Venom, crossed into the realms of anti-hero, which is what this film will be exploring. After a long wait since the first trailer came out, Sony Pictures has finally released a new one, giving fans a bigger look at the next Marvel adventure.

“One of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar® winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. While at first it seems to be a radical success, a darkness inside him is unleashed. Will good override evil – or will Morbius succumb to his mysterious new urges?”

Daniel Espinosa’s Morbius, starring Jared Leto as the titular character, Matt Smith as Loxias Crown, Adria Arjona as Martine Bancroft, Ad Madrigal as Alberto Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson as Simon Stroud, as well as Jared Harris and Michael Keaton, opens in theaters on January 28, 2022.

Executive produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Lucas Foster, Louise Rosner, and Emma Ludbrook, the film was written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless.
