After a long wait, DC fans finally got a glimpse of the upcoming superhero film with a new Blue Beetle trailer.
Blue Beetle is an upcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comics character Jaime Reyes. Xolo Maridueña plays Jaime Reyes, a teenager who gains superpowers when an alien Blue Beetle scarab grafts onto him. Check out the Blue Beetle trailer below:
Recent college grad Jaime Reyes returns home full of aspirations for his future, only to find that home is not quite as he left it. As he searches to find his purpose in the world, fate intervenes when Jaime unexpectedly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology: the Scarab. When the Scarab suddenly chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, he is bestowed with an incredible suit of armor capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers, forever changing his destiny as he becomes the Super Hero Blue Beetle.
Blue Beetle is directed by Angel Manuel Soto with a screenplay by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer.
The film also stars Bruna Marquezine, Belissa Escobedo, George Lopez, Adriana Barraza, Elpidia Carrillo, Damián Alcázar, Raoul Trujillo, Harvey Guillen, and Susan Sarandon.
