Game of Thrones was known for its brutality. Beloved characters could die, and it kept audiences on the edge of their seats, not knowing if their favourite character was going to make it. House of the Dragon had the difficult task of reestablishing the universe and what the status quo was during the time it is set. The third season had the benefit of rewarding viewers with shocking twists that you won’t see coming. Choices that characters have made will have consequences, and the payoff will thrill audiences who have been watching since the start. Allegiances change, and it’s kill or be killed in Westeros, and with all of the foundation laid, the writers and cast have delivered the best season of the series.
