Clark Gregg Talks Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., DubSmash & Female Superheroes

Exclusive Interview w/ Clark Gregg

Clark Gregg is one of my favorite people on the planet. He’s a phenomenal actor (Agents of Shield), he’s an accomplished screenwriter (Choke, What Lies Beneath) and he always takes time to talk to his fans.

Our friends at Assembly of Geeks spoke with Clark last week in an exclusive, one-on-one interview. During the conversation, Clark shared his thoughts on:

  • His journey throughout the Marvel Universe as Agent-turned-Director Phil Coulson.
  • What it’s like raising a daughter in a world of strong, intelligent, female superheroes like Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) and Daisy “Skye” Johnson (Chloe Bennet).
  • What television shows he would like to write for, and what writing projects he’s working on now. (Hint, he loves Luke Cage!)
  • How the DubSmashWars for charity started at Comic Con.
  • Why fans will be blown away by Agents of Shield Season 3.

“From the minute I read the first episode of this season, they just slam us right down into such big stakes, complications…”

“All I can tell you is…out of the gate, the first two or three episodes felt as big as anything we’ve ever done.”

You can listen to the full podcast episode here. Clark’s interview starts around 46:00. You can also listen to the interview on iTunes.

Agents of Shield returns Tuesday Sept. 29th on ABC at 9/8C.
