At the NYCC “Iron Man and The Avengers” panel Marvel announced “Avengers: Standoff,” the next big Avengers event hitting comic stands next year. The crossover will run through the major Avengers titles for two months next Spring, beginning in March with the “Standoff: Assault On Pleasant Hill Alpha” one shot from the creative team of Nick Spencer and Jesus Saiz. Said to be a celebration of Captain America’s 75th Anniversary, the story will be one of the rare Avengers events not to encompass the entire Marvel Universe.
