In a move that once again proves that #ItsAllConnected Marvel Entertainment is bringing together video games and television with nine playable characters from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. being added to the Future Fight mobile game on October 7th.
Playable Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. characters include Phil Coulson, Daisy Johnson (Quake), Melinda May, Deathlok, Lincoln Campbell, Bobbi Morse, Lady Sif, Raina and Gordon.
Marvel released this gameplay trailer and it is pretty awesome. Playing Phil Coulson and blasting bad guys with the Destroyer Gun? Taking on monsters with Lady Sif and Mockingbird? Yes please! October 7th can’t come soon enough.
The timing of the release couldn’t be better, with season 3 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. having just premiered on September 29th. The addition of these characters into Future Fight will come the day after episode 2 (Purpose in the Machine) airs on television.
In an interview with Variety Peter Phillips, executive VP and G.M. of interactive and digital distribution for Marvel Entertainment said
“It’s about making two things much stronger…Part of the strength of our mobile titles is that they enable us to integrate very contemporary content.”
Marvel Games creative director Bill Rosemann on the addition of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. characters to Future Fight:
“Adding the SHIELD gang to Future Fight also affords Marvel the chance to extend storylines and build on backstories to engage fans in a brand-new experience.”
Truly no one connects it all better than Marvel. Also, Deathlok looks amazing. Can we get more J. August Richards in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. please?
