RUMOR –This morning peeltheorange.net reported that Netflix and Marvel are considering removing the Iron Fist series altogether and replacing it with a feature film, giving the project a considerably larger budget. It was then rumored that Jon Bernthal’s character, The Punisher, who will be debuting in season 2 of Daredevil, might take the defender’s place in The Defenders TV series.
The news has been picked up by CBR as well as other websites. While it’s still a rumor true believers, this could be the very thing that Iron Fist fans are looking for. Could this be a way to unite the MCTV Universe?
If it’s true, a bigger budget could mean a cameo from bigger players within the MCU or even an appearance from some of the Agents of SHIELD. It’s a pretty fun idea true believers, and while you should take it with a grain of salt, feel free to speculate wildly in the comments below!
