Marvel’s Iron Fist Hires Dexter Showrunner Scott Buck

After all of the rumors about Marvel’s impending Iron Fist series, fans have been wondering if it will still move forward as a Netflix series (like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage), or become a standalone MCU film. Wonder no more. Marvel has finally announced that Scott Buck (Six Feet Under, Dexter, Rome) will take the reigns as showrunner and executive producer of the Netflix series.

While no timeline has been given for the series release date, it’s assumed that the show will premiere either in April or November of 2017. Now only one thing remains: The casting of Daniel Rand. As Iron Fist is a challenging character to bring to live-action, the lead and supporting cast members will need to be on point here.

Currently Marvel is two for two in their success rate with Netflix, as Daredevil & Jessica Jones are being embraced by fans and critics alike.
