For those currently binging Daredevil Season 2 on Netflix got quite the surprise as the season two finale featured the first teaser for the third Marvel/Netflix series, Luke Cage, starring Mike Colter as Marvel’s famous Power Man. The trailer also gives us the first look at the official logo for Luke Cage. While the trailer has yet to make it online, given that the new season was released today, they have made it available on the official Netflix page for Luke Cage.

Luke Cage stars Colter as the title hero, Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard, Mahershala Ali as Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Theo Rossi as Shades, Frank Whaley as Rafael Scarfe and Rosario Dawson reprising the role of Claire Temple from Daredevil and Jessica Jones. In addition, Sonia Braga has been cast as Soledad Temple, mother of Claire.
It has also been reported that Finn Jones, who recently got cast as Danny Rand a.k.a Iron Fist on Marvel’s Iron Fist, will be making his debut in the 13th episode of Luke Cage which is also the season finale.
“After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city – forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.
Cheo Hodari Coker (“SouthLAnd,” “Ray Donovan”) will write the series’ first two episodes in addition to serving as showrunner and Executive Producer along with Loeb.

Marvel’s Luke Cage will be released on Friday, September 30 only on Netflix.
