As we are only one week away from the release of Marvel’s Daredevil Season 2 on Netflix, we now also know when to expect the release of Marvel’s Luke Cage starring Mike Colter reprising the role from Marvel’s Jessica Jones.
In a red carpet interview with Marvel, Colter revealed that fans of Luke Cage can look forward to the release of his show on Friday, September 30.

Luke Cage stars Colter as the title hero, Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard, Mahershala Ali as Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Theo Rossi as Shades, Frank Whaley as Rafael Scarfe and Rosario Dawson reprising the role of Claire Temple from Daredevil and Jessica Jones. In addition, Sonia Braga has been cast as Soledad Temple, mother of Claire.
It has also been reported that Finn Jones, who recently got cast as Danny Rand a.k.a Iron Fist on Marvel’s Iron Fist, will be making his debut in the 13th episode of Luke Cage which is also the season finale.
“After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city – forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.
Cheo Hodari Coker (“SouthLAnd,” “Ray Donovan”) will write the series’ first two episodes in addition to serving as showrunner and Executive Producer along with Loeb.
