What eventually comes up, must come down. In this case, the past two weeks have been filled with some AMAZING news that has been sending Marvel fanboys and girls into a tizzy. Unfortunately, it may be a while since we see Black Bolt, Medusa, Crystal, Maximus and the rest of the royal Inhumans family on the silver screen.
Disney has removed Marvel’s Inhumans film from it’s July 12, 2019 release date. Originally part of Phase 3, Marvel has picked up films like “Ant-Man and The Wasp” and “Spider-Man Homecoming” since the announcement back in 2014. With Indiana Jones 5 currently slatted for the July 19th (i.e. the week after) this a smart move as the company wouldn’t want to sabotage themselves with two blockbusters back to back.
Don’t despair faithful readers! Our friends at Deadline say the film isn’t dead, but just rather a matter of time until it can be resurrected by Marvel, which could be anytime as they currently have a draft on the table by Black Panther co-writer Joe Robert Cole. While it may not be released during Phase 3, there’s always Phase 4 to look forward to. Until then, we’ll have to get our Inhumans fix from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
