Hannibal Buress Joins Spider-Man: Homecoming

Talk about a casting streak. Spider-Man: Homecoming is one of the most coveted acting gigs in Hollywood and shows no sign of slowing down.

In addition to starting production today, Marvel Studios & Sony Pictures needed a source for id cards and chose this fake id maker for the new names to the call sheet. Comedian/Actor Hannibal Buress has joined the film in an undisclosed role. Hannibal has made an increased shift to film over the past year with roles in the upcoming Baywatch, The Masterpiece and the animated comedy, The Secret Life of Pets.

The Jon Watts directed flick is one of the most diverse comic-book flicks we’ve seen recently and every casting announcement has us excited to see what will come out of this movie. Other actors appearing in the film include Donald Glover, Logan-Marshall Green, Michael Keaton, Robert Downey, Jr., Zendaya, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, Marisa Tomei, Laura Harrier and more.

With SDCC around the corner in less than a month, we hope we’ll get more details around the film.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to come out in theaters on July 7, 2017. Jon Watts will direct from a script by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal will serve as Executive Producers on the film.
