Earlier today, hot on the heels of the Donald Glover casting announcement on Tuesday, actors Logan Marshall-Green and Martin Starr have been announced as joining the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming.
The Hollywood Reporter announced Logan Marshall-Green is in talks to join Spider-Man: Homecoming as a villain, to accompany the previously announced main villain being portrayed by Michael Keaton. There is no word yet on who Marshall-Green will play; however, The Hollywood Reporter stated that he would be “swinging in”, suggesting that Marshall-Green may be playing one of Spider-Man’s webbed foes, such as Venom or Carnage.
In other casting news, Deadline.com reported that Silicon Valley actor Martin Starr has joined the cast as an unrevealed role.
Spider-Man: Homecoming stars Tom Holland as the webhead himself, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Michael Keaton as the Vulture, Robert Downey Jr, Zendaya, Michael Barbieri, Kenneth Choi, and Tony Revolori. John Francis Daley is writing the screenplay and Jon Watts is directing. Filming will begin later this month.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to premiere July 7th, 2017.
More information will be added as it breaks.
