The Russo Brothers have recently started pre-production on the hotly anticipated Avengers: Infinity War, and we all have plenty of questions about the sequel. One of the few the brothers will comment on though is this: will another Community alum make an appearance in the movie?
If you’re a fan of the show and want to see this trend continue, they have some good news for you:
We’re literally in that phase of the pre-production where we start thinking about those kinds of things, and right now we’re looking for the right part to see who’s a match for the next cameo.
The cameos started in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, where Danny Pudi (Abed on Community) and Aaron Himelstein (Jeremy Simmons in the episode “Debate 109”) appeared as employees of S.H.I.E.L.D. This continued in Captain America: Civil War, with everyone’s favorite Dean, Academy Award winner Jim Rash, appearing as the dean of MIT. While unrelated, fellow Community star Donald Glover will be appearing in next year’s Spider-Man: Homecoming.
The Russo Brothers directed numerous episodes of Community, both together and alone. The duo are also known for known for directing “Pilot” and numerous other episodes of the cult show Arrested Development.
Avengers: Infinity War is slated to hit theaters May 4th, 2018.
