We’re still a ways off from the premiere of FX’s Legion, but we’ve just now learned some important details about the upcoming series.
Speaking at the Edinburgh Television Festival, X-Men director and Legion executive producer Bryan Singer confirmed that the series will in fact take place in the X-Men cinematic universe.
Singer revealed that Legion is “part of the X-Men universe, but when you watched it, you wouldn’t have to label it, it could exist completely on its own.”
That’s not all. Singer also revealed that there is another X-Men series in the works that “will relate to future X-Men movies.” This mystery series is said to be“really ambitious and fun and very unique storyline.”
Legion is set in early 2017.
