Marvel is getting the Ant-Man band back together. As the prolific studio inches toward production on Avengers: Infinity War, Black Panther and other films, one of Ant-Man‘s brightest stars is returning to the Marvel fold.
According to THR, Michael Pena will return as Luis in the sequel, Ant-Man and The Wasp. This is definitely good news as Pena’s Luis was warmly received by both critics and fans alike. Pena stole several scenes as one of Scott Lang’s partners in crime, often telling long stories on how he came across jobs, foreshadowing how Lang acquired the suit in the first place.
Even though the film is still a couple years out, this is a welcome development showing that director Peyton Reed and screenwriters Paul Rudd, Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari are looking to build upon the story established in the first film.
Ant-Man and The Wasp is slated to hit theaters July 6, 2018.
