As the new iOS update begins to sweep across iPhone/iPad users some of the new features intrigue some while annoy others. One of those changes is the addition of Stickers to their messaging app. Items of Power was released ahead of the mass release of the update and boy are these fun. To use them you can either send them as their own message or attatch them to other stickers and pictures within the conversation. Basically it allows you to mess with your friends as you lay stickers over your own pictures or even theirs. So this is a bit more than what Facebook, Line, and Kik have all done with their stickers.
This collection includes Captain America’s Sheld, Iron Man’s Repulsor Glove, Mjolnir, and it even has Bucky’s arm! It also masks/facial overlays of Groot, Rocket Raccoon, Spider-Man (Peter Parker and Miles Morales), and even Spider-Gwen. Peter Phillips (EVP/GM, Interactive & Distribution, Marvel Entertainment) goes on to say “MARVEL STICKERS now let fans punctuate what they are thinking by utilizing some of the most iconic images from Marvel,” and “With MARVEL STICKERS we want to invite all of our fans to bring their iMessage conversations to the next level by personalizing, engaging, and expressing themselves with the power of Marvel.”
Marvel Stickers: Items of Power is available on the iOS App Store as well as the iMessage App Store for $1.99. Hopefully this is not just a fad because these stickers are quite a bit of fun. Have you gotten the sticker pack yet? Are you a fan? Have you updated to iOS 10 yet? And how do you like that? Let me know down below or tell us over on Twitter.
First Impressions: Ok so after some time goofing off with these stickers, I’m having a blast. Most of the time I use these to “enhance” existing pictures in messages. It’s definitely a fun way to communicate as well and overall just a fun little enhancement to the iMessage experience.
