Netflix’s The Punisher Casts Ben Barnes As Villain

Netflix’s Daredevil spin-off has just cast Prince Caspian actor Ben Barnes as series villain.

According to TVLine, Barnes could possibly be going toe-to-toe with the shows vigilante protagonist Frank Castle. At this point more info on who Ben Barnes will play is sketchy at best. So far we know he’s cast as a series regular. However, there’s an interesting rumor floating around that has the 35 year-old London native stepping into the shoes of villain Bobby Saint Bobby Saint is a son of a crime boss who’s first on screen appearance was the 2004 Punisher movie.

Again, Netflix hasn’t officially confirmed Ben Barnes’ role just yet. TVLine states a rep for them has declined to comment. Nonetheless, it seems likely at this point that Barnes will in fact have an important role to play in the much anticipated series. Since making his debut in the exciting second season of Daredevil,  fans fell in love with Jon Bernthal’s portrayal of the gritty loner vigilante Punisher. It is not known quite yer when the character will make his solo series debut but when the time comes, rest assured The Marvel Report will have you covered.
