The UK it seems is getting everything these days. According to Heroic Hollywood and the UK Marvel’s twitter, there’s release information out for when fans across the pond can expect to take home the sorcerer supreme, Baron Mordo, and the film’s introduction to magic in the cinematic universe.

Doctor Strange joins Agent Carter Season 2 as UK releases, although unlike Agent Carter a release date for Strange in the United States is sure to follow. The question of just what sort of extras and new goodies remains to be seen as far as Doctor Strange goes however. There was that briefly mentioned Easter Egg (Rhodey in Armor and a mysterious 22 year old schizophrenic woman? Hmm) that they could delve into. I’d also personally like to see something about how the cloak of levitation (who stole the show, let’s all be honest) was created.
There’s controversy attached to Doctor Strange, the whitewashing of the ancient one deserves a look see and hopefully a Director’s commentary might be able to answer some of those questions particularly in terms of casting choices and story choices. From the VFX to how the character of Mordo was changed to be considerably more sympathetic ( another character who stole the show for me) I’m eagerly awaiting the Doctor Strange blu-ray. Sound off with what you’re expecting and what you’d like to see in the blu-ray in the comments below.
“Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.”
It stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Steven Strange, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Karl Mordo, Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer, Benedict Wong as Wong, Benjamin Bratt as Jonathon Pangborn, Mads Mikkelsen as Kaecilius, as well as Tilda Swinton. It’s Currently in theaters.
