In a weird twist of events, some new details about the upcoming Spider-Man game may have just been leaked… On IMDb of all places. The posting on the site goes as follows:
“Spider-Man must fight the terrifying foe Green Goblin as he contends with his usual life of being a married man with a daughter. But when the Goblin hatches a sinister plan, can Spidey save his family and himself?”
This post has since been taken down and while the validity of the post is up in the air Insomniac Games were quick to dispel it on Twitter:

Despite that Insomniac came out and debunked the rumor I would actually like to see a Spider-Dad. Most games and media iterations, besides comics, of Peter Parker have had him either as a teenager or as a young adult and I would love to see a more established hero. But as it stands right now the game has no title or even a release date yet so we will see when the time comes.
But here’s what we actually know about the upcoming game.
- It will have a PS4 Pro Release
- He is not a teenager
- He has a different costume and the story will explore why
- This is a brand new story that will not tie into the MCU written by Marvel and Insomniac
- It will take place in New York City
- And it will have a more fluid combat style as you’d expect from Spider-Man
