Mantis Will Be in Avengers: Infinity War
Pom Klementieff confirmed on Saturday that Mantis — her character from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 — will also be appearing in Avengers: Infinity War.
Klementieff first addressed the Avengers: Infinity War rumor by posting an Avengers comic book cover on her Instagram earlier this week. The comic book cover features Mantis, Thor, Iron Man, Vision, Black Panther and Scarlet Witch — characters who will be featured in Infinity War. The photo was also posted from Atlanta — where the filming for Avengers: Infinity War is happening — which all but confirmed her role in the film.
Klementieff confirmed her involvement by posting a photo of herself wearing a Marvel Studios Infinity War hat. This photo was also also taken in Atlanta.
Klementieff joins fellow Guardians actors Sean Gunn — who provides performance capture for Rocket Racoon — Karen Gillan — who plays Nebula — and Zoe Saldana — who plays Gamora.
Filming for Avengers: Infinity War started January 23 at Atlanta Pinewood Studios. The movie is written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, and directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. Avengers: Infinity War will be in theaters May 4, 2018.
