Drew Goddard Joins Deadpool 2
Deadpool 2 continues to move forward, this time with a new screenwriter. Collider is reporting that Drew Goddard has joined Deadpool 2 as a script consultant. Goddard has been working on the script for Deadpool 2 along side original Deadpool screenwriters Rhett Weise and Paul Wennick, as well as star Ryan Reynolds.
Goddard is no stranger to Marvel comics characters; so don’t fret! Goddard previously worked on Daredevil Season 1, He served as both showrunner and executive producer on the Netflix series. Goddard has also worked on Lost, The Martian, 10 Cloverfield Lane and The Cabin In The Woods.
In April of last year, just months after Deadpool’s debut, director Tim Miller left the sequel. It was then announced in November that David Leitch, co-director of John Wick 2, would direct Deadpool 2. In addition to Wade Wilson himself returning to the film, Dopinder, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Colossus are also confirmed to return.
