Marvel Announces A New Anime TV Show

Marvel announced a new anime TV show titled, Future Avengers, that will air in Japan.   The show will feature Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and a couple new characters. The anime is reported to air in the summer.

Anime News Network states that the show will follow Makoto, a young boy who gains superpowers due to an evil gene manipulation experiment. Makoto and other youngsters will join the Avengers as apprentices named “Future Avengers.” The anime will show Makoto and others as they train, fight villains and grow, under Avengers members Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, and Wasp.

There will also be a magna adaption of the show that will be released in April by Teruaki Mizuno (Kyōryū Taisen Dinobout, Metallica Metalluca). The first issue will debut in Shogakukan’s Bessatsu Coro Coro Comics Special.  The issue will go on sale Tuesday in Japan.

This isn’t the first time Marvel heroes has starred in an anime for Madhouse, a Japanese animation studio. The series featuring Iron Man, Wolverine, and Blade was released on G4 in America, and then later on DVD in 2012.

In 2013 Madhouse teamed up with Marvel once again for an Iron Man anime film, Iron Man: Rise of Technovore. In 2014, they also did Avengers Confidential: Black Widow & Punisher , and Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers, anime series that premiered in 2014 in Japan from Marvel and Toei Animation

However, there is no word yet on if Future Avengers will be available in other countries, but hopefully, it will be sometime in the future.
