Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 Shares Massive Look At Promotional Art

One of the best things about a new Guardians of the Galaxy is the twisted vibrant vibe that the series brings to the MCU. It’s use of color and light, not to mention out of this world cosmic characters is a joy to behold and almost every fan can say they own a Guardians t-shirt of some sort.  With volume 2 on the way, comicbook.com has reported on a massive cache of Guardians promotional material that will apparently be used for everything from stickers to T-shirts to posters.

It’s worth noting that Marvel and guardians have both come under scrutiny for a lack of representation in merchandise.  Much like the #WheresBlackWidow? campaign, Marvel has seemingly distanced itself from female representation in it’s toys, books, and apparel.  Guardians is breaking the mold.  If this gallery is anything to go by fans of everyone from Mantis to Baby Groot will be dressed in their best for the film’s premiere and any future sequels that the studio might produce.  We’re particularly in love with the sheer amount of Mantis gear. Pom Klementieff’s Mantis is poised to be a break out character in the film.

The use of color and light is particularly fascinating.  The cosmic universe has always been a world apart from the colors of the MCU and while Tony Stark’s Iron Man suit is flashy – with the recent troubles they’ve had the Guardians look like they’re poised to bring a much needed blast of color into the fight against Thanos.  Will their bright colors pop when they finally meet with Captain America in Infinity War?

You can check out the whole gallery here.  Which do you like the best? Which would you wear on a T-shirt? sound off in the comments below. Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2 stars Chris Pratt as Peter Quill, AKA Star Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Bradley Cooper as the voice of rocket raccoon, Sean Gunn as the motion capture for Rocket Raccoon, Micheal Rooker as Yondu the Ravager, Karen Gillian as Nebula, Vin Diesel as “Baby Groot” and Kurt Russell as Ego the living planet.  It’s slamming into theaters May 5th 2017.
