‘Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series’ gets release date

Telltale Games has issued a release date for its episodic take on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. The premiere episode of Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series will hit PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, iOS, and Android devices on April 18.

New details from Telltale include the episode’s title, Tangled Up in Blue, which is named after the famous Bob Dylan song and continues the classic rock motif introduced in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie as well as the animated series. The episode will release for $4.99, though pricing for the full season has not been revealed. A retail version of the season pass will release on May 2 in North America, three days before Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters.

A new trailer for the game is expected to arrive this Thursday, March 30. If the screenshot below is any indication, it looks like Thanos will play a role in this adventure as one of the game’s key villains.

Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series will feature Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights) as Star-Lord, Emily O’Brien (The Young and the Restless) as Gamora, Nolan North (the Uncharted series) as Rocket, Brandon Paul Eells (Watch Dogs) as Drax the Destroyer, and Adam Harrington (The Wolf Among Us) as Groot.
