‘Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series’ Names Voice Cast Ahead of PAX East Panel

Telltale Games has named the voice cast for its upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series video game, one day before its PAX East panel.

According to a press release issued on Thursday, Scott Porter of Friday Night Lights fame will voice Star-Lord. Porter has worked with Telltale in the past, voicing Luke in The Walking Dead: Season 2. Emily O’Brien of The Young and the Restless will join the cast as Gamora. Longtime Deadpool voice actor Nolan North will voice Rocket. Watch Dogs voice actor Brandon Paul Eells gives his voice to Drax the Destroyer. Rounding out the cast is Adam Harrington as Groot. Harrington last worked with Telltale on the Fables-based The Wolf Among Us as Bigby Wolf.

PAX East attendees can learn more details on the Guardians of the Galaxy series during Telltale’s Interactive Storytelling in 2017 panel on Friday, March 10 at 6PM ET in the Albatross Theater. Marvel Games Creative Director Bill Rosemann will be among the speakers, having recently stated that game developers will not be strictly held to Marvel canon. For those unable to attend PAX East in person, the panel will be streamed live on Twitch.

From there, Telltale will head to SXSW on March 17 in Austin, TX, where crowds can jointly play an early version of the Guardians of the Galaxy premiere episode. This will take place at 7:30PM PT.
