Michael Keaton shares an update on playing the Vulture for Marvel’s upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming to Usa Today . USA Today, also shared a new look at his character as well as gaining some information from the director, Jon Watts! Let’s just say, the Vulture sounds like a pretty cool villain!

The Vulture will differ from the other villains of the Marvel Cinematic Universe; unlike Thanos and Loki who are god-like villains, the Vulture will be more of an everyday man. Adrian Toomes/The Vulture is a blue collar work who runs a salvaging company that cleans up after the messes that superheroes cause. Adrian, however, ends up taking matters into his own hands after an altercation when a new government organization that is founded by Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) steps in with a takeover.
Keaton on Toomes:
“Some people see themselves as victims — he sees himself a little bit like that. He probably would have a strong argument that he never got a fair shot — a lot of ‘Why not me? Where’s mine?’ ”
Toomes will end up gathering Shocker (Bookem Woodbine) and the Tinkerer (Michael Cheruns) to use scavenged alien artifacts and some stolen advance tech to put together to sell weaponary to other criminals . Of course, it won’t take long from the Vulture and his crew to get on Spider-Man’s radar.

“I like the idea that in these huge movies, you pick out one extra and you’re like, ‘What does he think of all this. Sometimes these movies are so casual about just destroying whole cities and incredible things happen and everyone’s like, ‘Eh, whatever.’ If that really happened, it would be amazing and change everything. It’s a really great starting point for the villains to have the Vulture picking over the stuff and finding the valuable exotic elements and having the Tinkerer assemble into something that could be used.”
The Vulture and his crew sound like they’re going to be a lot of fun to watch and will offer us something different than previous villains.
