Hulu Orders Runaways To Series, First Trailer Footage Is Found!

Marvel’s Runaways is a series that I am personally excited for.  One of the first  comic books I read, the comic about children who discover that their parents are super villains has gone through a lengthy process to get to the screen. According to CBR.com however, there’s no doubt that Runaways will be hitting hulu for a season – and hopefully many more seasons to come.  The series will be adapted by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, the creative team behind The O.C. and the very popular Gossip Girl.  The pair will work very closely with Jeph Leob and Jim Chory who head up the Marvel Television division.

That’s not the only news coming out of the hulu upfronts however.  Thanks to the internet, footage of the first teaser trailer for Runaways has surfaced online giving us several amazing good looks at the characters, their parents, the starting event, and just what we can expect from the series.

The Los Angeles based superhero team revolves around a group of kids who – you guessed it – discover that their parents are a group of super villains bent on taking over the world.  The trailer gives us good looks at everyone from Team Leader Alex Wilder to future team leader (and amazing bad ass) Nico Minoru to Chase Stein, Gertrude Yorkes (she looks just like she stepped out of the comic book, I am thrilled!) and the adorable amazing Molly Hernandez.

There’s a lot of speculation to be had about the Runaways trailer true believers.  Watch the trailer and tell us just how excited you are to see these kids hit the screen at last in the comments below!

Based on the popular comic book, Runaways stars  Rhenzy Feliz as Alex Wilder and Allegra Acosta as Molly Hernandez, James  Marsters and Ever Carradine as Victor and Janet Stein, Annie Wersching and Kip Pardue as Leslie and Frank Dean, Kevin Weisman and Brigid Brannagh as Dale and Stacey Yorkes, and Brittany Ishibashi and James Yaegashi as Tina and Robert Minoru.
