While the fifth season of ABC’s hit series Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD is still months away, we finally have some new details on the upcoming season. Deadline is reporting that Manson’s Lost Girls star Jeff Ward has signed on for a recurring role in Season 5.
Given that it’s Marvel, no details were revealed about Ward’s character, but their report teased that the character will have a “major multi-episode arc”. This marks as the first new casting addition for the season as ABC and Marvel TV haven’t shared a lot of new information about Season 5. The cast and creative team will appear at this year’s New York Comic-Con where we will most likely learn new details about Season 5, with hopefully some new footage.
While SHIELD won’t be back until 2018, that doesn’t mean ABC will be without some Marvel action this fall. The Inhumans will premiere on Friday, September 29 with a two-hour premiere as we see Black Bolt and the Royal Family enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Agents of SHIELD Season 5 is set to premiere sometime in January 2018 at its new timeslot on Friday nights at 9/8c on ABC.
