Another Titan has been cast and it’s for another iconic female hero on Titans. Deadline reports that Anna Diop (24: Legacy) has landed the major role of Princess Koriand’r a.k.a. Starfire, one of the most iconic Teen Titans characters. The official character description from Warner Bros TV reads as follows:
Diop’s Starfire (aka Koriand’r) is an alien princess from a warrior planet who seeks asylum on Earth. A no-nonsense, take-no-prisoners stranger on our world, she has the ability to shoot energy bolts and fly. Searching for her place on Earth, she’ll come into contact with the Titans.
Production on the 13 episodes of Season 1 is set to start in October in Toronto, Canada, which means we will most likely have more details soon on the upcoming show. Titans is one of the upcoming new shows that will be part of the new DC branded streaming service in 2018.
